01 - Overview
Nearly a century of continuous practice.
Feinknopf Macioce Schappa Architects has operated as an Ohio-based practice for 96 years.
We originated in 1928 as the Mark D. Feinknopf Architectural Firm, rooted in Columbus and committed to the craft of building. In 1989 we incorporated under our current name and expanded to include full in-house interior design and planning.
Today our team of 12 professionals continues to grow through diverse, challenging commissions. We seek work that pushes us — and makes us better.

04 - Values
What guides our practice.
01
Discipline.
Architecture is the accumulation of disciplined decisions held to a standard from concept through completion. We refine until the work is right.
02
Listening.
Every commission begins with understanding what the client is actually trying to accomplish. The strongest projects come from clients who feel heard.
03
Continuity.
Ninety-six years of continuous Ohio practice has taught us that the buildings most worth making are the ones still worth using decades later.
04
Range.
We have chosen breadth over specialization. Healthcare informs retail. Historic preservation informs new construction. Each commission makes the next one better.
