David A. Youse

President

David A. Youse leads FMS Architects. He has served as President since 2013. His work has shaped commissions including the ongoing reimagining of COSI, The Scotts Company World Headquarters, Columbus State Community College's Workforce Development Center, and Grant Hospital's Emergency Department.

He is responsible for the firm's overall design direction and serves as Principal in Charge on its most significant projects. His tenure has emphasized commissions that extend the firm's expertise into new territory.

Vaughn Benson

PrincipaL

Vaughn Benson leads the firm's JPMorgan Chase studio, directing new builds, renovations, and national rollouts for one of the country's largest financial institutions. His portfolio extends across retail, education, and government work, with active commissions throughout Ohio and the broader Midwest.

He has served at FMS for over two decades. His approach combines the operational discipline that national retail accounts require with the long-view rigor of institutional design.

Aleksandr Daskalov

PrincipaL

Aleksandr Daskalov's work spans five countries. His commissions have included the Replacement VA Hospital in New Orleans, the Lonz Mansion restoration on Middle Bass Island, Harvard Medical School's Dubai Center, and mixed-use development in Shanghai.

He holds licenses across multiple states and is LEED-accredited. At FMS he leads commissions where the demands of place — climate, culture, regulatory environment, material availability — substantially shape the design problem.

Rhonda Hillis

VP of Marketing

Rhonda Hillis directs the firm's marketing and brand strategy. She continues to practice interior design on select commissions, including Columbus State Community College's Delaware Hall, Buckeye State Bank, and ongoing work with The Ohio State University.

Her dual practice is unusual. Most firms separate marketing and design entirely. At FMS, the two disciplines inform each other directly, with consequences for how the firm represents both its work and itself.

Colleen Rezabek

Structural engineer

Colleen Rezabek has practiced structural engineering for thirty-six years. She holds Professional Engineer licenses across thirty states. Her work has supported Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Patient Bed Tower, the Franklin County Municipal Court Complex, the State Teachers Retirement System Office, and the firm's COSI Reimagined commission.

She is responsible for ensuring that what FMS designs can be built and what is built will endure.
